Ian Boswell has been one busy guy this summer. He has ridden both the Tour de France and the Vuelta Espana making him the only American to ride both this season. Wahooligan Reese Ruland caught up with Ian just before he made his inaugural appearance at the Tour about his aspirations and his feelings about making the Tour team selection.
Wahoo sponsors Ian’s team, Katusha Alpecin Cycling with the ELEMNT BOLT GPS Bike Computer and the TICKR Heart Rate monitor but our support does not stop there. We have partnered with Ian to support his inaugural gravel gran fondo, Peacham Fall Fondo taking place in his hometown of Peacham Vermont.
Needless to say, we are big “Boz” fans around here so when he sent over a playlist that has been on heavy rotation between stages of the Vuelta we knew that our indoor workouts were about to get more interesting. Ian’s Wahooligan playlist is sure to motivate and fluctuates from fast tempo tracks to more melodious songs, making it perfect for your next training session.
“My taste in music varies widely. Here is a Vuelta collection of what has been on my soundboard this summer. Some Country to remind me of home, some Rock to get pumped up, some Townes Van Zandt because he is the best, and some Nirvana because that’s the only CD I own in France, so that’s all I can listen to in my car. Music is an extremely important part of my life. It reflects my emotions on and off the bike, it gets me going and relaxes me. I just wish I could play an instrument.”
