The KICKR CLIMB has arrived. For those unaware, the KICKR CLIMB is our innovative new training machine that modulates your bike angle in real-time. It takes smart training to the next level (literally) and makes indoor riding even more immersive. The technology is cutting edge.

But what makes the KICKR CLIMB even better is its ability to fit into your riding style quickly and efficiently. Like all of our products, we designed the CLIMB to work fluidly with the entire Wahoo ecosystem and to your training style.

Hit the Hills on Your Favorite Island Route

We love Zwift. Paired with the Wahoo Fitness KICKR, cyclists can traverse nearly 88km of virtual paradise alongside riders from over 150 countries. It’s one of the best ways to combat mental fatigue while training indoors.

Now, with the addition of our KICKR CLIMB to the Wahoo product family, riders can experience real grading in real-time. As they climb the virtual hills of Watopia (Zwift’s south Pacific paradise), the bike will lift and adapt to the terrain. Reaching Watopia’s peak of 516m has never been so immersive.

But you don’t have to be a Zwift subscriber to enjoy what the CLIMB can offer. Download a route onto your ELEMNT, and the KICKR CLIMB will modulate your grading as well. So if you loved riding around Hawaii on your last vacation and have a route saved to your ELEMNT, the CLIMB will let you experience those exact hills (up to +20% ascent and -10% descent). This new addition helps you train more accurately.

New KICKR & SNAP Integration

The KICKR CLIMB is one of the most advanced indoor training products to hit the market. As such, it requires a new KICKR or KICKR Snap to work.

The new KICKR and KICKR SNAP bring a lot of welcome upgrades to the KICKR family. The KICKR SNAP is getting improved accuracy, Smart LED Indicators to show connectivity and 3rd Party Power Meter Support. We’ve also added 12×148 Thru Axle compatibility, expanded 12×142 Thru Axle Compatibility, and improved disc brake clearance on the KICKR to open up your options for riding.

With the addition of the CLIMB, if you’re looking to upgrade your indoor bike trainer or jump into the Wahoo ecosystem, there has never been a better time to get a new KICKR or KICKR SNAP.

How the CLIMB talks to your KICKR & ELEMNT

If you’re already using the KICKR as your indoor bike trainer, you know how easily you can hop on and ride; with automatic ELEMNT pairing, and quick Zwift communication, the KICKR responds to apps and attachments lightning-fast.

The CLIMB does not disrupt this flow; the data from Zwift or your pre-loaded ELEMNT route is translated into a movement for the CLIMB via the KICKR. That means you don’t need to do anything special on Zwift or in your ELEMNT once you’ve got your CLIMB out of the box. Just turn on your CLIMB, pair it to the KICKR, and your setup is complete for all third-party apps and software.

This year, we’re bringing you the next generation of indoor training. Our ecosystem is growing, and the CLIMB is bringing critical training immersion that riders have been seeking. We know you’ll love your CLIMB as well as your KICKR, and we can’t wait to see how it modernizes your training.

Once you get your new CLIMB, let us know what you think in the comments!

Unfortunately we were unable to make the earlier generation KICKR’s compatible with the CLIMB. As of right now the New KICKR and New SNAP are the only trainers that support the use of the CLIMB.

Love a new climb but am stuck with a Kickr less than 10 months old that won’t work with it. How about some upgrade offers?
